Exhibition: Fifty Years In Photography

Ian Sumner studied photography at Berkshire College of Art and Ealing School of Photography in the early 1970s and has worked in photography since then.

He has worked in commercial, industrial, press and architectural photography and has lived in Mid Somerset since 1983.

His main interest is in black and white ‘street photography’ and has recently had a book published by Cafe Royal Books with pictures taken at Henley Regatta 1975-78.

There will be a selection of pictures on show from Glastonbury and other UK locations, along with images from the Far East and Australia in the 1970s.

Ian is interested in the early history of photography and copies of his book about an 1850s Bristol photographer, John Gutch, will be available at the exhibition, along with the newly published Henley book.

Doors open at 7pm.
Free entry/donations welcome.
