Saturday 27th July is a very special night! BARRY “THE FISH” MELTON BAND will appear on their only dare in the west!

Together with Country Joe McDonald, Barry Melton was a co-founder of Country Joe and The Fish, acknowledged as one of the all-time finest psychedelic rock bands.

Country Joe and The Fish were a sensation at the legendary Woodstock Festival in 1969 – in front of half a million people – and were an integral part of the “Woodstock” film.

Their first album “Electric Music For The Mind And Body” is acknowledged as the finest debut album of the genre, with Barry’s lead guitar supplying a searing psychedelic assault on the strings, pinned by David Bennett Cohen’s unique keyboard playing. David also played keyboards for Jimi Hendrix “back in the day”.

In his last ever interview, the late great  D.J  John Peel said, “My favourite album of that era really was and remains Country Joe and the Fish’s ‘Electric Music For The Mind Of Body'”.
